In Lasik procedure, first, a 100-160 micron layer (flap) is lifted from the corneal layer, then Excimer Laser is applied.

After the patient's eye is sedated with eye drops, and eyelid speculum is used to prevent eyelids to close.

A corneal suction ring is applied to the eye, holding the eye in place.

Once the eye is immobilized, the flap is created by microkeratome.

The flap is folded back, revealing the stroma, the middle section of the cornea and Excimer Laser is used to remodel the corneal stroma.

After laser is applied, the surface is washed with serum and flap is placed back. It is made sure that the flap adjusts to its location.
